Established in 1983 the Hungry Horse Restaurants owner and creator Steve Artale offers some award winning recipes from Chicken Fried Steak, Meat Loaf, Chopped Steak, King Ranch Chicken, and Sweet Bran Muffins. Steve has been recognized for his passion for excellence by the Boerne community with the "Best Business of the Year" multiple times. His commitment to community with helping sponsor the American Cancer Relay, Annual Christmas Breakfast that benefits the Boerne EMS, and other charities and non-profit organizations. For his great efforts within the community the Boerne Chamber of Commerce awarded him "Citizen of the Year". 

    The Hungry Horse dining concept is unique: Large, medium and small portion sizes, reasonable pricing, large vegetable selection, children friendly dining, home-style entrees, healthy food alternatives, and call to-go (no waiting at the register to pay). Operated by a dedicated team of committed professionals working in collaboration everyday to ensure every diner enjoys a delicious meal in a warm, friendly environment.
